August Striving for further development of charitable projects of rendering help to feeble old people of our country, BS's workers had visited home for the old and handicapped in Lesnoye village and Copyl' rest home. July The BS' workers took a trip to the orphanage in the village of Damatkanavichi, Minsk region, to a children's home for retarded and disabled kids in Garadishchye settlement, Brest region, a support boarding school situated in the village of Sinitcheva, near Copyl', Minsk region, Stan'kovo children's home and Slutsk boarding school. More... June The BS' staff members visited boarding schools in Borisov and Zhodino towns, and also a children's home situated in Kholopenichi township. More... May On May 20 the Bible Society's staff and the representatives of the charitable ABC (Aid for Belarusian Children) organization from Wales took a trip to the children home located in the village of Stan'kovo, Minsk region. This state-run establishment houses some 150 kids deprived of parental love. We presented them with the set of the spiritual literature. We are thankful to God for our Welsh friends, as their hearts are full of love towards the children of Belarus. Mr. German Rodov, the BS Board Chairman and Mr. Igor Mikhailov, the BS Executive Director represented the Bible Society at the opening ceremony of the event in honor of Cyril and Methody, the Slavonic spiritual nurses, canonized by the Orthodox Church.
