May D-r John Elwolde, UBS Translation Consultant, visited the Bible Society. We discussed the issues in regard to the ongoing project of translating the Holy Scripture into the Belarusian language, and received expert consultancy. September "Aid for Belarusian Children" Welsh Charity team arrived in Belarus in order to identify the needs of the children in Belarusian orphanages. Accompanied by the staff members of the Bible Society, the group visited the orphanage in Rudensk. October As the project of translating the Holy Scriptures progresses, we receive much material from those involved in checking work. At this stage we need consultancy which is expertly provided by D-r John Elwolde, UBS Translation Consultant. His multifaceted ability in the area of linguistics and ancient translations not only contributes to the progress of the translational project, but also conduces to the development of the relations between the Bible Society and Christian churches in Belarus. Apart from our regular work on the Holy Scripture translation in the BS office we visited Сatholic Seminary in Grodna this time.
