BSRB has always been concerned about those visually impaired. Most part of them, i.e. 8,000 people, attend 18 libraries in frames of the Blind People Association of Belarus. Its main aim is to ensure access to God's Word for blind and visually impaired people. Listening to NT on audiocassettes is the most admissible way of getting acquaintance with God's truth for them.
Project realization stages:
1. Fund-raising company to accumulate money for acquiring of the cassettes. Many people's hearts were not impartial to our appeal for the project rendering assistance, so we could buy audiocassettes, as well as large print Gospels.
2. Cassettes and spiritual literature were handed to every department of Byelorussian Blind People Society at the meeting with their supervisors (see Photo 1). Heads of libraries promised to try their best to popularize Scriptures. BSRB members have also paid visits to Blind People Society' local branches, where they could make sure that audiocassettes were in great demand among invalids. Those born blind young lady (see Photo 2) and blind pensioner (see Photo 3) had dreamed for a long time of listening to the New Testament at home; now their dreams have come true.
What we saw while making trips showed, though, that the quantity given was not enough, since a lot of invalids, especially those feeble who can't visit libraries, would like to have cassettes in personal use.
