The Scriptures For Visually Impaired People
Aim of the project:
To give the sightless and visually impaired people an opportunity for reading the Word of God through supplying them with giant print books.
Project summary:
According to the statistics, there are 20,000 visualy impaired people in Belarus today. Of them, 1,500 are third-degree invalids having residual sight with ability to read giant-print books. But such books are not available in Belarus, and therefore publishing and distributing them among the needy is a task of high importance for us, because it is a good opportunity to reach the visually impaired people with the Good News.
It is not easy for a normal man to find a suitable place in the society today. How much more dificult it is for those who feel themselves inferior to people around them! Because of physical deficiencies, such people can't adapt to the circumstances either at work or home, and often feel themselves wronged by life. They easily fall into despair, and consider their life empty and meaningless. Sometimes they even start contemplating suicide to be the only way out. But the only way is Christ alone. Only with His help will they be able to get out of despair and start living a new fruitful life. To help them, we intend to supply them with giant print books containing the message of God's love.
