Babruisk preschool children’s home #1, Mogiljov region, has housed 60 kids. There are six age groups there with poetical names such as “Chamomile”, “Butterfly”, “Sun”, “Bell”, “Snowdrop”.

Deputy director Valentina Kazimirauna (photo) says, “The children’s home has been here since wartime. When the war started the then director evacuated the children to the inlands, beyond Ural Mountains, and after the war all the children returned to the children’s home”. Now there are 60 children here, all of them are orphans. We have our own anthem. Here are some passages from it:

“Our Babruisk children’s home
From bitterness and distress
You gathered us your children
Like birdlings under your warm wing
We wish you happiness
You give comfort and warmth to all
We want you to have good luck from now on!”
