Yulya, 3. Even though her mother is a young woman hearing well, Yulya is hard-of-hearing. The mother lives in a small town of Klimovichi.
Darina, 3 (on the right). She is hereditary afflicted, because her mother, father grandmother, and grandfather are all deaf.

Nastya, 3,5 (pictures above). Her story is appalling. A premature baby, she weighed 450 g when she was born. Her mother threw her into the garbage can. The nurses say, “The doctors and Nastya herself desperately fought for life. It is beyond words. The little girl went through a number of operations. Now she has cardiac defect, her eye-sight is poor”.
 Andrey, 6, is an orphan. He was born out of wedlock, and later his mother died. Nobody visits Andrew.
 “We have never seen such beautiful and interesting books!”, the kids joyfully exclaim.
