Logoisk area study museum, Minsk region
One of the earliest museums in Belarus, it was founded in 1842 by the brothers Konstantine and Yeustafi Tyshkevichs who had worked as scientific archaeologists.
Natalya Dmitriyevna the custodian of the museum funds says, "Our museum is frequently visited by school children, and we aim to plant a love for our native country, for history of their homeland. The children are very inquisitive, and now that we have so many wonderful books from the Bible Society, we will be able to hold lessons on biblical history".
Natasha (left photo) recently graduated from Belarusian State University, faculty of history. She has worked at the museum for a second week only. She said, "We actively work among young people, and we organized the "Heritage" club which has united schoolchildren and students learning the history of these places. I myself will read the Bible and will actively popularize it among the young people. We only have several very old copies of the Scriptures in stock, and I am very glad that you provided such wonderful new books".
