Social orphanage in Mogiljov has housed children from 3 to 16 years old. The children stay there up to six months, and then they either go to children’s homes or return to their families. During those six months the dedicated staff make every effort to persuade the parents into taking their children back and getting down to their upbringing. The social orphanage admits from 20 to 30 children who arrive mainly from Mogiljov city. Timothy (photo, right) is 8. He has no father, and his mother is imprisoned because she had struck her cohabitant with a knife. Timothy is an undeveloped boy, not because of some psycho physiological problems, but because nobody has ever trained him. Timothy has a sister who will later be sent to a children’s home.. Zhora (photo, left) is 5. He was born in Mogiljov, and was taken to the social orphanage together with his brother because their mother is addicted to drink and doesn’t care for them. Zhora was presented with “Do It Yourself” book, thanks to which he will be able to learn biblical stories and make something with his hands
