Visit to the Belarusian PEN-center and the Belarusian Language Society

Aiming at reaching Belarusian-speaking readers with the Good News, the Bible Society has felt the need of collaboration with the organizations involved in the Belarusian language and culture popularization. The BS strives for building up contacts with the organizations whose purposes stand in consistency with ours. On April 22 the representatives of the Bible Society made a visit to the Belarusian PEN-center and the Belarusian Language Society (BSL). We reached the agreement with Mr. Oleg Trusau about putting the information on the Bible Society and the literature available in the papers the BLS issues. Mr. L. Barshchiewsky (PEN-center) took interest in the book of Belarusian Christian poetry and wanted to acquaint himself better with this book in order to write a review and put it in the "Nasha Niva" newspaper. Hopefully more people will learn about us thanks to these new contacts, and our publications will become known among the Belarusian society stratum keeping in touch with the above-mentioned organizations.
