“Dear mammy, your beloved daughters Verochka and Yulen’ka are writing to you. We miss you so much! We will keep waiting your call. If you write a letter to me please enclose your photo if you can. We miss you very much. Each time I pray about you so that everything could go well with you, and you could call me. I sometimes cry when I think about you. Till now I remember you and your eyes. Frankly, I love you very very very very very much. I grew up already, and so did Yulya. Now that I am writing this letter I am weeping remembering you. When Yulya talks about you I begin to WEEP”

The director of the boarding school Yuri Ivanovich (photo, right) says when showing the room for prayer, “The administration of the school pay great attention to spiritual upbringing of the children. At the beginning of each school year a priest comes and a prayer service is held. When the school year is over the children go on an excursion to Zhirovichi monastery. Many children regular attend Sunday school and participate in divine services. It is very important, and I’ll tell you why. There is for example a family with 10 children the mother had had from different men. The mother is now debarred from parental rights, and all the kids are at the boarding school. They sup sorrow, but they still love their mother nevertheless. And so do other kids with similar life stories. We believe that God’s love will help them to overcome this difficult period in their lives”.
The orphans send letters to their mothers whom they love against everything. At the left photo there is a letter written by sisters Vera and Yulya to their mother. The text of the letter reads this:
