The boarding school is situated in the town of Telekhany, Brest region, and it offers a simplified school program for those who are not able to have a grasp of standard school subjects. At the present time there are 150 pupils there. The Bible Society provided the Bibles and other Christian literature for the school.
Zhanna Viktorovna (photo, right) the librarian of the boarding school says, “Our children are very fond of reading. There are some books of spiritual message in stock, and they are always in great demand. And now we have got such wonderful illustrated books! It will be a real Christmas gift for the children”.
Older children became interested in the Bible.
Anya is 11 (photo, right). Her father died, and her mother’s chief concern is drinking. She was debarred the right of parenthood. In the past, Anya was taken to orphanage and then returned back to her mother. It happened twice, but her mother showed to sign of changing, and in the result Anya found herself in the boarding school. She is encircled with care and love there, and we hope that through Christian books she will know about God’s love.
